Magnetic Particle Testing is used to locate discontinuities in ferromagnetic parts using electrically induced magnetism. MT is a very effective inspection tool sensitive to both surface and subsurface flaw localizing. MT can be done fairly fast and at low cost to almost any size and shaped part.
These courses cover the theoretical aspects of this method and also provide demonstrations and practical hands-on laboratory time using both portable and stationary equipment. The course meets ASNT standards and practices (SNT-TC-1A).
