The First Day of the 2023 Pipeline Technology Conference (PTC) Comes to a Close in Berlin, Germany
The first day of the PTC in Berlin got off to a roaring start yesterday and the Dexon team is excited for day two. This year’s Conference has seen a fantastic turnout with all conference and seminar tickets completely sold out in the run-up to the event.
Attending the Dexon booth at the exhibition this year are Dexon PLC Ultrasonic Crack Inspection Specialist Mr. Levi Porter, Dexon Europe Director Mr. Jarno Dejonge, Dexon PLC Executive Director Martin Stuvik, and Dexon PLC Director of Furnace Inspection Dr. David John Thewsey.
This year the PTC’s focus is on new technologies, current challenges, and perspectives for the future. May 8th saw a range of 1-day seminars prior to the official opening of the conference. The seminars covered topics such as unpiggable pipeline inspection and other factors affecting pipeline asset integrity management. Day one got underway with the Global Women in Pipeline kickoff event entitled: “Global Women in Pipeline: Connect, Empower, Inspire”. The event aims to highlight and celebrate the contribution that women make to the pipeline industry, an industry predominantly dominated by men. The PTC dinner will be held tonight at the renowned DogTap Berlin, located in the historic Gaswerk Marienpark. We are all looking forward to Day 2 with another full day of talks and presentations from industry experts.
