Dexon Mechanical Solutions (DMS) employees recently completed a course in Electroplating Underwater Metal Welding and Cutting, a specialized program aimed at enhancing hands-on expertise in underwater welding and cutting.
The course, organized by Thailand’s Department of Skill Development (DSD), Ministry of Labor, was conducted at Skill Development Institute 12 Songkhla from October 29 to November 2, 2025, comprising a total of 30 training hours.
The curriculum combined theory and practice, covering topics such as:
Fundamentals of underwater electric welding and cutting
Equipment & material selection
Welding quality control
Risk management & underwater safety protocols
DMS’s training is part of DMS’s broader personnel development plan, designed to align technical capabilities with field requirements.
The training is particularly relevant for subsea work, offshore oil & gas, renewable energy, general industry, and infrastructure projects—all of which demand highly specialized, safety-conscious professionals.
Upon completion, trainees were formally assessed and certified by the Department of Skill Development.
This official certification confirms their advanced skills and readiness for demanding fieldwork and bolsters the company’s long-term engineering capacity.
