Following the inspection of a 10-in. pipeline in Nigeria, we welcomed representatives from the pipeline operator, regulatory bodies, and our local partners to Dexon’s headquarters in Thailand. )
The original project focused on metal loss & corrosion, but the visit was an opportunity to pull back the curtain and showcase Dexon’s broader inspection range.
Guests toured our test yard, witnessed live demonstrations, and got a firsthand look at how new ILI technologies are developed, tested, and validated before entering the field.
Among the technologies demonstrated were:
• Flexi-ILI Dolphin: a free-swimming ultrasonic tool designed for complex and difficult-to-inspect pipelines
• MFL Shark: Advanced, bar-type MFL systems for high-speed corrosion assessment
• UT-MC Falcon: Ultra-high resolution metal loss & geometry inspection
Beyond the tools themselves, discussions focused on inspection strategy, data quality, validation testing, and the future challenges facing pipeline operators.
These visits are an opportunity to exchange ideas, build trust, and strengthen relationships with the operators, regulators, and partners helping shape the future of energy infrastructure.
