Rayong, Thailand—June 8—To celebrate World Ocean Day, Dexon Technology partnered with local government organizations to spend the morning doing a tiny act of care: giving our local beaches a clean.
Before beginning the clean, participants learned about waste segregation and the importance of minimizing their impact on local environments.
Then, armed with gloves, bags, and enthusiasm, volunteers set out to clean approximately 200 meters of shoreline.
By the end of the activity, more than 300 kilograms of waste had been removed from the beach. Even better, approximately 35% of that waste was recyclable – enough material to avoid an estimated 150 kilograms of CO₂-equivalent emissions through recycling.
A big thank you to the local government officials, community members, and Dexon employees who joined us on a warm and muggy day to help protect the coastline.
It was a great way to honor the ocean and to remind us all to take those extra steps to keep it healthy and clean.
