Slew ring bolts hold an offshore crane securely together as it rotates, but inspecting them for internal damage can mean costly, time-consuming removal. Dexon’s PAUT-based method detects defects while the bolts remain installed, reducing downtime and unnecessary disassembly. 

Slew ring bolts are critical components that withstand the forces generated during crane rotation and lifting operations. Damage caused by fatigue, cracking, corrosion, or material degradation—particularly in offshore conditions—can compromise crane integrity and increase operational risk.
