Ultrasonic Multi-Channel Viper

High-resolution well casing integrity inspection

Well casing is the main barrier between an operator’s well and everything around it, and it's under attack from both sides. CO₂, chlorides and other corrosives in produced fluids eat at it from the inside. Formation water works on it from the outside. Most operators only find out when metal loss has already turned into a leak, a workover or a regulator's attention.

The UT-MC Viper finds corrosion before it gets that far. Run on wireline or slickline, it measures wall thickness from inside the casing and shows operators where metal loss is and whether it's internal or external, with minimal disruption to production.

Testing and Qualification

Engineers test every UT-MC Viper against known internal and external defects before it ships. In-house fabricators can build test sections to match an operator's casing, and runs can be set up to match field conditions such as pressure and logging speed—proving the tool in conditions close to what it will face in the well. Clients are welcome to watch the testing and review the data at Dexon's X-Base facility in Rayong, Thailand.
