On Friday, May 21, 2024, Dexon Technology Public Company Limited (Dexon Group), along with its executives and employees, held the first session of its annual "Rak Nam Rak Din" (Love Water, Love Soil) project. The initiative was organized in recognition of World Environment Day and reflects Dexon’s commitment to environment, social, and governance (ESG) principles, ensuring the company’s growth aligns with environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and good governance for a sustainable future.
The project exemplifies Dexon’s pledge to ESG by partnering with the local Chak Luk Ya–Khao Huai Mahat community in Rayong Province to restore 22 dams in the Khao Huai Mahat watershed forest—an important upstream area for the region. These dams help slow water runoff during heavy rainfall, allowing sediment to settle rather than being carried downstream. As a result, the soil retains more moisture, vegetation grows more effectively, and the ecosystem maintains its balance.
The restored dams enhance local biodiversity, promote forest regeneration, and increase the area's carbon sequestration capacity, contributing to climate change mitigation. The collaboration not only supports the local environment but also sets a model for how businesses can actively participate in protecting natural resources and creating sustainable ecological systems.
