Tailings Pipeline In-Line Inspection Services

Reliable, High-Resolution Inspection for Tailings & Slurry Pipelines

Tailings operators face some of the industry's most challenging integrity threats. Abrasive slurry, accelerated wear, and difficult operating environments rapidly wear away at assets. Operators typically use estimated wear rates and spot checks to monitor their assets, but this risks premature replacement of sections.

In-line inspection allows operators to more precisely manage their assets—boosting efficiency while reducing replacement costs.

For over 45 years, Dexon has helped operators obtain the integrity data needed to support safer, more informed asset decisions.

Full-Scale Testing & Validation

Engineers validate all tools at Dexon's 7-acre test yard using simulated pipeline conditions, artificial defects, and push-through testing prior to field deployment. Custom defect spools and pipeline threads that recreate on-site pipeline geometries are installed to verify both detection capability and tool passage before mobilization. Clients are welcome to witness testing, technology demonstrations, and inspection validation activities at Dexon’s X-Base research and testing facility.
